Tri-County Race Track Releases Action Packed 2017
Promoter Ray Cook and the Tri-County Race Track located in Brasstown,
N.C. have released the schedule of events for the 2017 racing
season. The season will officially kick-off with an open practice
session on Thursday evening March 9th from 6:00 until 9:30 pm.
The Super Late Models will see four major events. The Schaeffer’s
Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race
Fuels and Tennessee RV will visit Tri-County Race Track on Friday
March 17th for the Season Opener paying $3,000-to-win. The series
will again visit on Monday May 29th for the Seventh Annual Memorial
Day Championships paying $3,000-to-win while the final stop
of the series to Tri-County will be on Friday Night September
29th for the 14th Annual Tarheel 50, which will pay $4,053-to-win.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented
by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will again return to the
schedule as the track will host the second series points event
on Monday Night July 17th paying $3,500-to-win.
The Crate Late Models will have their Championship race on
Friday August 11th paying $1,500-to-win. The Independence Day
Championship race featuring a Huge Fireworks show will be on
Monday Night July 3rd with details to be announced.
The Fourth Annual Modified Street/602 Summer Shootout will
take place on Friday Night May 19th paying $1,000-to-win while
the Fourth Annual Street Stock Shootout will be a $600-to-win
event on Friday Night June 23rd.
On Friday Night August 25th the Seventh Annual ever-popular
Back-to-School Nickel Night for the kids will take place along
with a full racing program for all divisions. Fan Appreciation
will take place on Friday August 4th with $7.00 general admission
and Kid’s Bicycle races.
On Monday Night September 4th the Seventh Annual Labor Day
Championship race will feature the USCS Southern Thunder Sprint
Car Series and Fastor Pastor races.
During each special event at Tri-County in 2017, it will also
be a full racing program for the other divisions with other
special events to be announced.
In addition to the action-packed stock car program at Tri-County,
the Go-Karts will return to action as the track will host the
Fifth Annual Tarheel Nationals on Saturday September 16th. The
Lucas Oil Southern States Midget Series will make their first-ever
appearance to Tri-County Race Track on March 31st plus a weekly
racing program will be on tap. The Seventh Annual Monster Mash
featuring the Monster Trucks, Tough Trucks and Demolition Derby
will take place as part of a two-day action-packed weekend on
Friday & Saturday October 6 and 7th.
