TRACK RULES

THESE RULES ARE FOR DRIVERS ONLY AND ARE NOT INTENDED TO IMPOSE ANY RESPONSIBILITY ON TRI-COUNTY RACE TRACK. TRI-COUNTY RACE TRACK SHALL INCUR NO LIABILITY TO ANY PARTY, WHETHER A PARTICIPANT, SPECTATOR, GUEST, OR BUSINESS INVITEE, AS A RESULT OF VIOLATION OF THESE RULES. TRI-COUNTY RACE TRACK SHALL BE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO ENFORCE THESE RULES.

Due to insurance regulations, anyone entering the pit area will be required to purchase a pit pass, regardless of age. Anyone under 18 years of age will be required to have a release signed by a parent.

Drivers must be 16 years of age except in the Stock Pony division where minimum age is 14.

General Rules

A. Any one caught drinking, using marijuana or a controlled substance will be suspended for 14 days for the first offense, 30 days for the second offense and suspended for one season for third offense.
Nothing shall prohibit the track owners from administering any penalty, including immediate removal from the premises or permanent suspension of track privileges, to driver, owner, pit crew member or fan whose conduct, in the complete discretion of the track owners, represents a threat to the orderliness of track operation or the safety of others.
Aa. Any driver, crew member, car owner, fan or individual who initiates a fight on the premises of Tri-County Race Track will be suspended for one year.
B. In case of unnecessary roughness on the race track, the race can and will be stopped with the offending parties being sent to the pits.
C. The official leader will be determined by the last complete green flag lap.
D. With the exception of the last lap cars do not race back to the flag stand when the caution flag is flown.
E. Any car or cars that are involved in any accident (not the ones that stop to keep from hitting other cars) will be lined up in the rear of the line, as they were on the track the previous lap. Any car for which the yellow flag is displayed must restart in the rear.
F. Drivers cannot switch from one division to another without authorized permission. Drivers are not allowed to compete in more than one division per race meet. Official discretion by track owner will be exercised!
G. Cars cannot be worked on when on the track. All work on race cars must be done in pit area. One lap will be taken away if car is worked on while on the track.
H. Drivers will be paid according to laps completed.
I. The payoff on a Red and Checkered Flag will be the same as a restart.
J. Cars racing at Tri-County Race Track for the first time may run that night without being in full compliance with the rules. Final determination will be made by the head tech official.
K. All cars are subject to inspection by track officials at any time. Any driver, or pit crew caught drinking alcoholic beverages at any race meet will automatically forfeit any money said car has won for this race meet. Driver will be held responsible for entire pit crew. If driver is caught drinking or fighting he will be suspended.
L. Verbal or physical abuse of any Tri-County Race Track Official will not be tolerated. Individual or individuals involved in this type of behavior can be fined and or suspended up to one year.
M. Numbers: Car numbers must be at least 18 inches high and 3 inches wide. These numbers must be on top and both sides of the car. If you don't have numbers you will not be scored.
N. Officials reserve the right to change car numbers to avoid duplication.
O. Refusing to obey officials could result in loss of laps, fines and or suspension of up to one year.
P. Under caution a car can stop on the track only at the back pit gate or the front straight (flag stand) under the guidance of a track official. A track official is the only one eligible to touch or work on the car on the track. If the official can make minor repairs the car will return to its original position. If not, the car must go to the pits to receive further attention. If anyone other than a track official touches the car, the car will be put in the rear.
Q. Any car that brings out the yellow flag three (3) times must go to the pits.
R. No radios or communication equipment allowed.
S. If officials determines that one car deliberately spins another car, the spinee will be put to the rear and the car who was spun will go back to its original position.
T. Track reserves the right to add weight to any car in order to offset any minor rule violations. Officials will determine amount of weight to be added.
U. Cars must run APPROVED mufflers in all classes. Mufflers are MANDATORY!
V. Entry Fee: Admission to restricted (pit) areas are not admissions for entertainment purposes, but rather entry fees.
W. No driver, car owner, or mechanic shall have any claims for damages, expenses, or otherwise against the track or its officials.
X. Driver must be 16 years of age or older to compete in all classes except Stock Pony (age 14 allowed in that class).
Y. Anyone entering the pits must sign a release form and purchase a pit pass.
Z. All cars and trailers must have at least one working fire extinguisher that is approved by track officials.
AA. All drivers must wear full fire resistant uniforms any time the car is on the track. This includes ironing in the track, hot laps, qualifying, qualifying heats and feature racing.
BB. Only helmets with Z-90 specifications will be allowed.
CC. Cars must have weight displayed on right front corner of top.
DD. NO TRACTION CONTROL DIVICES of any kind allowed.

Track reserves the right to delete, change, or amend rules in the interest of competition and or safety at any time during the season. Decisions of Tri-County Race Track officials are final.

Note: Prize money will not be held for anyone � it must be picked up the night it's earned by driver only, no exceptions.

Protests for all divisions.

All visual protests must be made before race. If only minor infractions are found an in the opinion of the track no performance advantage, the car may be declared legal with the understanding that the violations must be corrected before the next race. More blatant violations must be corrected before car will be allowed to compete at present race.

Oil Pan $300.00
Flywheel/Clutch $250.00
Gas $100.00
Rod & Piston $100.00
Valve Cover $100.00 (all classes except Super Late Model)

any protesting car must finish directly behind the car being protested. no counter protesting.
Once A protest has been made there will be no cancelling of protest.
Protest fees must be posted (In Cash) no later than 5 minutes after the race. Track retains 30% of all protest fees, regardless of results.

30 minute time limit to teardown car. If more than one area is protested, additional time will be given.

Protested car may have a maximum of three people in the pen during teardown. Protesting car may have a maximum of one person in pen during teardown.

Track's discretion will be used to determine legality. All rulings by the inspector will be final.

Any car found illegal or refuses to tear down will loose all points and money won the night of protest. NO EXCEPTIONS. and a two week suspension second offense penalties will be determined by track officials and can include a life time ban.
All drivers will be required to use Raceceiver in all race meets throughout the whole season. any driver not using raceceiver will be disqualified from that event and forfeit all money and points for said event.
