Tri-County Race Track Releases
2012 Schedule of Events!
Following
a successful first season of handling the promoter duties at
the Tri-County Race Track, Ray Cook is eager to start his second
year in charge of the Brasstown, North Carolina bullring. Earlier
today, Ray released the full schedule of events for the 2012
campaign at the 1/4-mile oval. A pair of open practice sessions
will be held on Thursday night, March 8 and Friday evening,
March 16 prior to the 2012 Season Opener on Friday, March 23.
The schedule, which is shown in its entirety below, features
fifteen programs in which all five of the main divisions at
Tri-County (Super Late Model, Limited/Crate Late Model, Modified
Street, Street Stock, & Stock 4 Cylinder) are in racing
action. In addition, Ray has also added five Competition Thursday
nights that are sprinkled in throughout the year. On these special
Thursday evenings, the track will be open for practice for any
division, King of the Hill Match Races, and a complete show
for the new Cruiser class.

Ricky Smith, Marty Clark, and Mikel Ledford Claim Wins in 2011
Finale at Tri-County!
The
Tri-County Race Track closed out their 2011 racing season on
Saturday, October 22 with a special Demolition Derby and a full
show for the Limited/Crate Late Models, Interstate Welding Modified
Hobby, Street Enduro, and Pony classes. In addition, King of
the Hill match races were held for the Limited and Crate Late
Models and all of the 2011 Track Champions were honored on the
frontstretch. At the end of the night, Danny Ledford, Greg Suddereth,
Ricky Smith, Marty Clark, and Mikel Ledford all celebrated in
victory lane. Ray Cook and the entire staff at Tri-County would
like to thank the drivers, fans, sponsors, track employees,
and everyone associated for their support during the year!

Casey Roberts has CAPITAL
Victory while Taming Tri-County for Tarheel Win!
Casey
Roberts of Toccoa, Georgia inherited the lead from Don O’Neal
on lap 23 and never looked back en route to a $3,500 win at
the Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC on Thursday Night
October 6th during the Eighth Annual Ray Cook promoted Tarheel
53 event.
Roberts drove his Cushman Paint and Body sponsored entry to
the $3,500 win. Roberts was debuting a new Capital Race Car
prepared by Marshall Green and company. This was the first outing
and it turned into a win for the # 101. ‘We were tickled
to death with our new car’ stated Roberts in Victory Lane
afterwards. Roberts talked about his win at Tri-County: ‘We
had a really good race there, we really like racing with Jonathan
(Davenport) and the caution came out there and saved us, it
was just our night to win I guess’ stated Roberts who
was all smiles in Victory Lane with his crew and family.
Fast Qualifier Don O’Neal and Ross Bailes brought the
field of 20 to the green flag for the start of the 53-lapper.
O’Neal jumped to the early lead with Bailes and Shawn
Chastain in hot pursuit.
