USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour Sprint Cars Headline Lavonia
and Tri-County Father's Day Weekend Specials
After
this weekend's 6th annual Randy Helton Memorial Race at East
Alabama Motor Speedway, the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw
Thunder Tour winged sprint cars keep a busy June 2013 rolling
with a North Georgia and Western North Carolina double-header
on Father's Day weekend. On Friday, June 14th the series visits
the remodeled Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia. On Saturday,
June 15th the USCS drivers make their first visit to Tri County
Racetrack since Super Late Model star Ray Cook became the promoter
there. Both tracks have been USCS driver and fan favorites over
the past 17 seasons. Both events will pay $2,000 to the winner.
The series last visited Lavonia Speedway on Labor Day weekend
of the 2010 season. The 4/10 mile clay oval track was closed
for two years before re-opening for the 2013 season under new
ownership. The last race for the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour at
Tri County Racetrack was during the 2008 season, although this
race is a make-up date for a race scheduled last Labor Day weekend.

Dillon Wood Takes Back-to-Back Memorial Day Championships
at Tri-County Race Track!
Dillon Wood put an exclamation point on a very profitable Memorial
Day Weekend! The New Smyrna Beach, FL driver earned $3,000 on
Monday Night May 27th as he claimed back-to-back Circuit World-sponsored
Memorial Day Championship Victories at the Tri-County Race Track
in Brasstown, NC. The driver known as ‘Sunshine’
pulled into Victory Lane while driving the Keyser Manufacturing,
Integra Shocks, GW Performance and Gotta Race sponsored Clements
Racing Engines powered Rocket Chassis. This was Wood’s
second win of the weekend as on Saturday Night he claimed $4,000
at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN with the Ultimate
Late Model Series tour.
In preliminary qualifying action that set the field, Toccoa,
GA’s Casey Roberts lowered the track’s qualifying
record to a 12:434 second lap of the 18 entries at the Ray Cook-promoted
track which drew a record-high 74 cars in five divisions for
action on a beautiful Memorial Day evening.

Shawn Chastain Pockets $1,000 for Spring Championship
Win; Six Other Drivers Reach Victory Lane on a Busy Night!
A
huge night of racing action greeted the fans at Tri-County Race
Track tonight, as the Spring Championship took place, as well
as three make-up features from a rain-out on April 26. Shawn
Chastain was the night's big winner, as he took home the $1,000
top prize in the Limited Late Model portion of the Spring Championship.
Wesley English, Brian Kinnersley, Greg Suddereth, Doug Sellers,
Marty Clark, and Cody Smith also graced victory lane. Next up
at Tri-County will be the 3rd Annual Circuit World Memorial
Day Championship featuring Super Late Models paying $3,000 to

Jason Deal, Greg Suddereth, and
Shannon Smith Victorious at Tri-County; Four Features Postponed
by Rain...
Tri-County
Race Track almost beat Mother Nature tonight, as three of the
seven classes were able to finish their feature events before
the rains ultimately wiped out the rest of the program. Jason
Deal (Crate Late Model), Greg Suddereth (Modified Street), and
Shannon Smith (Street Stock) came out on top of their respective
A-Mains. The Super Late Model feature has been rescheduled for
June 7, while the Limited Late Model, Pony, and Front Wheel
Drive main events have been pushed back to setup Double Features

huge crowd piled into the Tri-County Race Track tonight, as
Ray Cook's Spring Nationals Series rolled into town to sanction
a huge Super Late Model event. Casey Roberts came out on top
of a wild 40-lapper, which featured tons of two and three wide
racing action. In the end, Roberts picked up the $4,000 top
prize over Billy Ogle, Jr., Stacy Boles, Dale McDowell, and
Johnny Chastain. Other winners during the exciting night were
Chase Elliott (Crate Late Model), Greg Suddereth (Interstate
Welding Modified Street), and Doug Sellers (Street Stock). |

Spring Nationals Series Rolls into Tri-County Race
Track on April 12th for $4,000 to win
After
a successful Spring Thaw at Volunteer Speedway less than a month
ago, the Ray Cook promoted Spring Nationals Series will host
the next double-header weekend of the 10-race mini-tour.
The Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC will be the third
event on the schedule paying $4,000 to win / $400 to start on
Friday Night April 12th. The support classes that night include
the Crate Late Models racing for $500 to win, the Interstate
Welding Modified Street division will race for $300 to win and
the Street Stocks will be competing for $250 to win. A $200
bonus will be paid to the highest finishing Limited Late Model
in the Spring Nationals Super Late Model event. |

Successful Season Opener for Seven Drivers at Tri-County!!!
Right
around 50 racecars piled into the pits at Tri-County Race Track
tonight for the 2013 season lid lifter. Seven different winners
came out on top and got their season off to a great start. David
Payne (Super Late Model), Charlie Parker (Limited Late Model),
Chase Elliott (Crate Late Model), Greg Suddereth (Interstate
Welding Modified Street), Doug Sellers (Street Stock), Marty
Clark (Pony), and Mitchell Lance (Front Wheel) all graced victory
lane at the Brasstown, North Carolina bullring. Thanks to everyone
who came out to the track tonight and we look forward to seeing
you for the big Spring Nationals show on April 12!

Season Opening Event at Tri-County Scheduled for
Next Friday, March 29!!!
Following a successful practice session last night at Tri-County
Race Track, which drew over 30 racecars, the official 2013 season
opener is just around the corner! The green flag for the 2013
campaign will wave next Friday night, March 29 for all classes.
Gates will open at 5:00 pm, while the drivers meeting will start
at 7:00 and racing at 7:30. Grandstand admission will be $10.00
for adults, $5.00 for kids ages 11-16, and free to those children
ages ten and under. Pit admission will be $25.00 for adults,
$15.00 for kids ages 11-16, and free to those children ages
ten and under. See you at the Tri-County Race Track this Friday
night!!!
