Southern Nationals Bonus Series Rolls to
Tri-County Race Track on Monday, May 30th
Race Track located in Brasstown, NC finishes off a huge Memorial
Day racing weekend with the first of two visits by the Southern
Nationals Bonus Series on Monday Night May 30th and the Sixth
Annual Circuit World-sponsored Memorial Day Championship Race.
The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will take
to the Western North Carolina oval during the Memorial Day special
racing for $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start. The Limited/Crate
Late Models ($800-to-win), Interstate Welding Modified Street
($500-to-win), Street Stocks ($300-to-win) and the Pony class
($300-to-win) will all be racing during the night’s activities.
Circuit World, the annual presenting sponsor, has five locations
with the home base being in Murphy, N.C.
David Payne Pockets $3,000 in Spring Championship;
Deal, Taylor, Gunter, and Woodard Also Take Added Money!
rain-postponed Spring Championship took center stage tonight
at Tri-County Race Track and a $3,000 winner's check was on
the line for the ground pounding Super Late Models. At the end
of the night, David Payne was celebrating a $3,000 triumph in
the unsanctioned special over Shawn Chastain, Casey Roberts,
Austin Smith, and Ashton Winger. Also taking home added money
were Jason Deal (Crate Late Model $700), Kenny Taylor (Modified
Street $400), Marlin Gunter (Street Stock $300), and Justin
Woodard (Pony $300). Next up at the 1/4-mile Brasstown, North
Carolina bullring will be a full racing program on Friday evening,
May 20 plus Kids Bicycle Races! |
Austin Smith Takes Super Late Model Checkers;
Parker, Shook, Taylor, Gunter, and Rhinehart Also Bag Wins!
Race Track roared back to life tonight, as a full racing program
was held for all divisions. With high car counts across the
board, the action was fast and furious and Austin Smith (Super
Late Model), Charlie Parker (Limited Late Model), Brett Shook
(Crate Late Model), Kenny Taylor (Modified Street), Marlin Gunter
(Street Stock), and Bobby Rhinehart (Pony) all celebrated victories
in their respective classes. Next up at the 1/4-mile Brasstown,
North Carolina bullring will be the rain-postponed Spring Championship
on Friday, May 6 featuring Super Late Models paying $3,000 to
Collins, Parker, Deal, Taylor, Bowers, and
Pope Notch Tri-County Race Track Top Prizes!

Drew Bowers (Street Stock), and Mitchell Pope (Pony) all celebrated
victories in their respective classes. Next up at the 1/4-mile
Brasstown, North Carolina bullring will be our Spring Championship
program on Friday, April 22 featuring Super Late Models paying
$3,000 to win! |

marked the 2016 season opener at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown,
North Carolina and a good turnout of racecars thrilled the fans
in attendance at the 1/4-mile bullring! As the dust settled
at the end of the evening, Shawn Chastain (Super Late Model),
Charlie Parker (Limited Late Model), Adam Smith (Crate Late
Model), Charles Devine, Jr. (Modified Street), Lynn Burchfield
(Street Stock), and Shannon Jones (Pony) all celebrated victories
in their respective classes. Next up at Tri-County Race Track
will be another full racing program on April 8, 2016, which
will mark our first points race of the season!
